On a peaceful Sunday afternoon on January 8, 2024, just as the excitement of the New Year was beginning to settle, emergency evacuation orders and sirens echoed throughout the entire city. An unidentified asteroid had suddenly appeared and was heading straight towards Earth. With only 48 hours left until the collision, martial law was declared in each country, and experts from various fields were urgently summoned and taken away. Some people resorted to looting and murder, while others peacefully accepted the end of life. Just like that, humanity met its demise.

After the asteroid hit, Earth’s atmosphere was engulfed in dust. Days as dark as pitch persisted, the frozen Earth incapable of supporting any form of life. Nonetheless, the planet’s perpetual rotation, which had existed since the beginning of time, remained unchanged.

Sixty-four years after the collision, the iron doors of underground bunkers, which had been tightly sealed until then, began to open one by one. Survivors from all over the world emerged back onto ground. They were descendants of the select individuals who had been summoned when the asteroid struck and sought refuge deep within the underground bunkers with the goal of rebuilding a new humanity. They called themselves Bunkerites. Born in the bunkers, they expected to see the luscious green Earth their ancestors spoke of as they emerged from the dark underworld. However, the actual Earth they faced was starkly different, with barren lands devoid of vegetation and remnants of destroyed cities. Gazing upon this desolation, the Bunkerites sensed that the life ahead of them would not be easy.

Unidentifiable entities roamed the land. Mysterious energy from the asteroid that struck Earth had imbued consciousness into machines and objects, transforming them into new life forms. They kept distance from the Bunkerites, knowing their ancestors had destroyed Earth and in fear of any conflict and confrontation that lay ahead. 

The Bunkerites extensively revised the plans they had formulated in the bunkers and devised new methods for settling in the new Earth. They began establishing villages and cultivating agricultural plots for self-sustainability, while also initiating the construction of cities. Amidst their busy days, a new being suddenly appeared one day, piercing through the dark sky with a radiant light.

Composed of Changesite-(Y) which was discovered on the moon long ago, the extraterrestrial being was named Zero (0). The Bunkerites called it that because its body was constantly in flux with no fixed shape, defying any verbal definition of its essence, and there was no knowledge of where it came from or why it appeared before them. When Zero extracted a piece of ore from its body and planted it in the ground, a clear and transparent figure resembling a crystal appeared. People named her NEL. She was the Messiah.
